Sally’s Approach

Sally Westland is a clinical psychologist, and owner of Southern Psychology & Neurotherapy. She discovered a passion for psychology in her late twenties, and hasn’t looked back since. Sally loves working with people to improve their mental health and wellbeing, and make meaningful changes in their lives. She’s respectful of each client’s individual beliefs and values, and creatively and flexibly adapts treatment plans to suit each client’s needs.

Sally works with people with a broad range of mental health difficulties. Particular interests include biofeedback/neurofeedback, sleep, and men’s mental health.

In recent years, Sally’s developed a strong interest in the relationship between mind, brain and body, and the impact on mental health. This has led to her including neurotherapy and biofeedback techniques as valuable tools into her clinical practice. These approaches work directly at the level of the brain and/or body, to bring about increased regulation and positive change. They can be used in a stand alone manner, but can also be effective when combined with conventional psychological therapy.

Sally places a high value on professional development and continued learning. She has an ever expanding reference library, and consults regularly with a highly regarded network of international and national experts, particularly in the areas of neurofeedback and QEEG assessments.
