Appointments & Fees
Booking Appointments
Existing Clients: appointments can be booked online by clicking on the Book Now button below.
New Clients: Psychological therapy is available for adults (18 years and over), with neurofeedback training also available for young people. If you’re interested in arranging an initial consultation, you can request a referral via your GP, or contact sally@spneuro.com.au or text 0467 248 728 to arrange an appointment directly.
Fees
Payment in full is required at the time of the appointment and can be made via cash, debit/credit card, or mobile payment. As a courtesy service, Medicare rebates can usually be processed on the spot via EFTPOS directly back into the client’s bank account. While every effort is made to assist with rebate processing, responsibility for ensuring rebate eligibility and successful processing ultimately rests with the client.
- Standard 50 minute appointment: $230
- Extended 75-90 minute appointment (EMDR therapy reprocessing session): $340
- Report writing: $140 plus GST per 30 minutes
- QEEG Brain Map assessments: $535 (90–120 minute appointment). Additional appointments are required for intake and assessment feedback, and are charged at the standard consultation rate. Written reports are available for an additional fee, depending on the nature of the report requested.
- Third-party funded appointments are based on the APS recommended schedule of fees.
Referrals & Rebates
- Clients paying privately. A referral is not required for clients paying out of pocket.
- Mental Health Treatment Plan. Clients referred for psychological therapy under a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan or by a psychiatrist may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $149.05 for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year, leaving an out of pocket cost of around $81. Rebate amounts are higher for clients who have reached the annual Medicare Safety Net Threshold.
- DVA referrals. The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) may fund appointment costs for psychological therapy for eligible white or gold card holders with a GP referral.
- Private Health Insurance. Rebates are available from some private health insurance companies, depending on the policy, and the level of cover (please check with your insurance company for more information).
